THURSDAY NIGHT GAME IN CPSL MOVED
London City Selects have won the Round Robin games in the Women’s Canada Cup competition, a series of games involving six teams representing District Associations in which six CPSL men’s professional teams exist. The four top teams in Round Robin standings will meet in the semi-finals, to be played at Cove Road, London on Sunday, September 4 and Monday, September 5 and will be in conjunction with the Open Canada Cup men’s semi-finals and final that same weekend. London City Selects, as the first place finisher, will meet Durham Region Allstars, the fourth place finisher and the second and third place teams, North York District Allstars and York Region Ladies, will meet in the other semi-final. There has been a change of venue for one game in the Canadian Professional Soccer League to be played Thursday, August 18--this game has been moved from Brian Timmis Stadium in Hamilton to Club Roma at St. Catharines with a 7 p.m. kickoff time
