THREE SITES ANNOUNCED FOR OPEN CANADA CUP THIRD ROUND GAMES

Three sites will be used as venues for the five games in the Third Round of the Open Canada Cup competition, the Canadian Professional Soccer League has announced.

The OZ Stadium, home of the Ottawa Wizards, will host the Ottawa Wizards vs. Laval Dynamites and the Kanata vs. Toronto Supra games, while Dufferin Clark in Vaughan, home of the Vaughan Sun Devils, will be the site of the Vaughan Sun Devils vs. Metro Lions and Durham Flames vs. AEK London games.

This leaves the London City vs. St. Catharines Roma Wolves game to be played at Cove Road in London.

All Third Round games will be played during the Civic Holiday weekend, August 1 to 4 and the five surviving teams will progress to the final weekend during the Labour Day holiday. That weekend will see a Wild Card game, followed by the two semi-finals on Saturday or Sunday, August 30, 31 and the Open Canada Cup Final on Monday, September 1.

The winning team will receive the Open Canada Cup and a $10,000 cash prize.
