Toronto Supra took a big step towards Eastern Conference honours with a 2-0 victory over the stalled Brampton Hitmen at Centennial Stadium in Etobicoke, while in a second game in the Canadian Professional Soccer League Friday night, Toronto Croatia cruised to an 8-0 win over Durham Storm at the Civic Stadium in Oshawa.

The Toronto Supra vs. Brampton game was even during the first half until Supra struck with two goals just before half-time.

With the game closing in on the break, Domagoj Sain scored for Supra at the 44th minute mark and just two minutes later Supra forward Danny Amaral took a cross from Pedro Dias on the left wing to make it 2-0 which held up to the end.

In the second game on Friday night, Durham Storm failed to cope with the much superior Toronto Croatia and with four goals in each half the Mississauga-based outplayed the home opposition 8-0.

Croatia forward Leo Laurito scored twice at nine and 40 minutes, and Halburto Harris also scored two (11 and 48 minutes), while singles went to Ante Pavlovic (43 minutes), Edin Kalic, his sixth of the season at 58 minutes, Antonijo Zupan (67 minutes) and Zyjen Kresic at 70 minutes.

Toronto Croatia improve to 6-7-3 for 21 points and jump to third place in the Western Conference, eight behind Hamilton Thunder and three behind Border Stars, while London City and Brampton Hitmen each have 20 points.
