HAMILTON THUNDER CANCELS GAME WITH VISITING JUVENTUS PRIMAVERA TEAM
Hamilton Thunder of the CPSL's Western Conference have cancelled an exhibition game with the Juventus Primavera youth team scheduled for Brian Timmis Stadium in Hamilton on June 17.
But a Juventus Primavera vs. Brampton Hitmen game scheduled for Victoria Park in Brampton just two days earlier, is still on, says
Hitmen owner Steve Nijjar, who also coaches his team.
"The visit of Juventus Primavera to Canada is still on," said Nijjar who obtained confirmation of this on Friday, June 6, from the U.S. agent in Des Moines acting for the team from Turin, Italy.
Juventus Primavera, the youth team of Serie A champion Juventus F.C., is expected to arrive at Toronto on Saturday, June 14, with a game scheduled for the following day at Victoria Park in Brampton, a 2 p.m. kickoff.
A further announcement is expected to be made on Tuesday, June 10.
