DURHAM NIPS ST. CATHARINES 1-0 AT CLUB ROMA
The win vaulted the Flames over Metro Lions and York Region Shooters to put the Durham region team in third position in the Eastern Conference with 17 points from a now 5-5-2 WLT record. Durham Flames were KO'd from the CPSL League Cup recently, but have shown strong form in the league competition and can now be considered a serious candidate for the playoffs. Durham's next game is on August 29 at Centennial Stadium in Etobicoke for an encounter with struggling Toronto Supra.St. Catharines Roma Wolves have faltered in league competition recently and the Garden City team remains in third place in the Western Conference with a 4-6-5 record for 17 points.
